RESCON Team Gives Back This Holiday Season

Washington D.C. – On November 9, 2019, the RESCON Washington D.C. office dedicated a day to supporting its mission of giving back.  The team gathered items and stuffed boxes for the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child Program

Samaritan’s Purse is a not-for-profit organization that gives back to communities in need all around the world via food, medicine, and other assistance.  For the Operation Christmas Child program, volunteer’s put together gift boxes that include toys, dolls, clothes, and games. These are then distributed by volunteers all around the world.

“This was a great opportunity to reflect on how thankful we are and to support those that are less fortunate,” said JaMar Plater, Operations Manager. “Helping to bring smiles to children and families, especially during the holidays, is something we enjoy doing together as a team.”

The volunteer day was a part of the RESCON Branch Community Service Program where each branch chooses an organization to support for its charitable initiatives. RESCON has volunteered with organizations such as Christina’s House, Massachusetts Horticultural Society, Rhode Island Food Bank, Francis Scott Key Elementary School in Baltimore and the Ellie Fund.  To discuss how RESCON can get involved with an organization you feel connected to, please reach out to us at
