Giving Back to Employees through our Annual College Scholarship Program

RESCON Scholarship Winners: On Monday, August 20th 2019, RESCON announced the three recipients of the 3rd annual College Scholarship Program. This program was launched in 2017 to give back to our employees by supporting their higher education goals, as well as their children’s’ educational and career goals.

Supporting our team and surrounding communities is fundamental to what we do. As part of the consideration process, applicants were asked to submit a personal essay about a community service experience that was meaningful to them.  We were so pleased to see the variety of ways our families are committed to giving back to the community.  Our New England recipient, Brian Fett, volunteers for the Habitat for Humanity and supports initiatives to feed the hungry. He will be attending Liberty University in the fall and aspires to be an United States Air Force Fighter Pilot. Mi’Angela Plater, our Mid-Atlantic recipient, has spent many years working with a rescue and rehabilitation program for horses called the Freedom Hill Horse Rescue.  She will be attending Northeastern University.  Our Southeast recipient, Joslyn Gallo, has been working with a group called By Standards Rising Above Violence Everywhere that focuses on teaching teens the skills needed to stand up against dating violence and other social issues.  She will be attending Seminole State College where she will study Architecture Engineering and Technology.

This young group of talented individuals is working hard to make a difference. RESCON is proud of their dedication, hard work and commitment to shaping their futures and achieving their goals. RESCON has committed over $40,000 to-date to support our employees and their families through the College Scholarship Program and we look forward to continuing to grow this contribution annually. Please join us in congratulating our 2019 College Scholarship Program recipients!
